What Gets Checked
- Laundry tub — scrubbed clean, taps polished, drain cleared
- Walls — particularly around the tub where water and detergent splash
- Flooring — swept and mopped, including behind and under the washing machine space
- Cupboards and shelving — wiped inside and out
- Washing machine space — lint, dust, and detergent residue behind and around where the machine sits
- Exhaust fan cover if present — dust buildup is common

If a Washing Machine Is Being Left
If you're leaving a washing machine in the property, it should be clean. Wipe the drum interior with a damp cloth, clean the door seal (mould often grows in the rubber), clean the detergent drawer, and clean the lint filter if accessible. Run a hot maintenance cycle if possible.
If a Dryer Is Present
Clean the lint filter and wipe the drum interior. The exterior of the dryer should be wiped down. For condenser dryers, empty and rinse the water reservoir.
